Registering new sites |
Any sites currently not in a CCA need to confirm that they wish to join the new CCA. |
If you have any eligible sites that do not currently have a CCA then you should contact the CCL Help Line as soon as possible to be guided on the next steps. |

February/ March |
Notification of new CCA reference numbers |
We will send you the new site and target unit reference numbers that will be used in the new CCAs. All existing site numbers and target unit reference numbers will not be used in the new CCAs. |
From 1st April, all correspondence with use these new reference numbers. The new facility (site) reference numbers should be quoted on new PP10s and PP11s. |

Assenting to the new CCA ‘Underlying Agreements’ |
The Environment Agency will issue by email your new Climate Change Underlying Agreement for your ‘assent’. Please note the following: a) The email will be issued from do-not-reply@cca.environment-agency.gov.uk. b) The email will be issued to the Responsible Person and will be cc’d to the Administrative Contact as well as ourselves. If you have not received the email from the Environment Agency after 15th March please inform us so that we can advise whether it has been issued. |
1) You should expect to receive the email within the next one to four weeks. 2) Final instructions on how to ‘assent’ to the Underlying Agreement are yet to be issued by the Environment Agency so please read the instructions in the email very carefully. 3) You must respond to the email with your ‘assent’ as soon as possible to make sure that your CCL discount starts from 1st April 2013. The Environment Agency will require you to respond by the end of March or within 20 working days whichever falls soonest. 4) You must send your reply to CCA-TargetUnit@environment-agency.gov.uk, please cc targetunit@cclevy.com so that we know not to chase you. |

Updating PP10s and PP11s |
We will provide a guidance note on how to update your PP10 and PP11 forms so that you can continue to claim the CCL discount with your new CCA reference numbers. |
New PP10s and PP11s will need to be submitted in March/April so that you receive the new rate of discount on electricity. |

April |
Checking of base year data |
We will send you a summary of your base year data and the new energy reporting rules. |
You must check your base year data and notify us of any corrections required during the ‘data correction window’ (see below). |

April to August |
Data correction window |
You will be allowed to correct base year data. After this, any data corrections will be subject to potential penalties. Further information will be sent out in April once we have received guidance on these processes from the Environment Agency. |
You must notify us of any corrections required to your data before the end of August as we have to notify the EA before the end of September. |

April to August |
Changes to Bubbles window |
You will be allowed to change which sites are ‘bubbled’ together in the new CCA. After this, there will be NO further opportunities to change your ‘bubbles’ unless you buy or sell sites. |
You must submit any requests to bubble or unbubble facilities before the end of August as we have to notify the EA before the end of September. |

Submission of 2012 data |
Collection of 2012 performance information to start the transition away from the old CCA October to September CCA year, to the new CCA January to December 2012 reporting year. |
You will be asked to submit energy and production data for 2012. |
