Companies with Climate Change Agreements that surpass their milestone target generate CO2 Allowances. These Allowances can be banked for use at a later date or can be sold via the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (click here for further information about Carbon Trading). The Allowances can only be banked or sold if they have been independently verified.

Enviros have helped over 350 companies to have their emissions successfully verified. This has been achieved by Enviros working with the company and a UKAS accredited verifier, or through the Enviros Group Verification Scheme (which operates for companies participating in one of Enviros’ Climate Change Levy Discount Schemes).

Companies entering the EU Emissions Trading Scheme will also require verification of their annual emissions.
